    Green sea glass is made from glass that contains iron and/or chromium, which are metallic elements that can be found in a variety of minerals. When iron and/or chromium are added to the molten glass mixture, they react with the other minerals in the glass to produce a green color. The intensity of the green color depends on the amount of iron and/or chromium that is used, as well as the other minerals present in the glass.
     
    Green sea glass is relatively common, although it is not as abundant as clear or brown sea glass. It is often found in shades of light to medium green, although deeper shades of green are also possible.
